Typical spacing for the upper group is 1.0 to 1.2 meters, while the lower group spacing is 2.4 to 3.0 meters.

Centering roller groups automatically fix belt misalignment. Each centering group has a pivoting frame with guide rollers on both sides. When the belt moves off center, it pushes against the guide rollers. This causes the frame to pivot and produces a sideways force that steers the belt back to the center. Centering groups are usually installed every 8 to 12 groups on the carrying side and every 6 to 8 groups on the return side.

All frames are welded from high-strength steel. Bearings are sealed with labyrinth seals to keep dust and moisture out.
